The New 911 Carrera 4 Coupe and Cabriolet

All 2020 911 Carrera models receive fine-tuning under the hood with a twin-turbo 3.0 liter flat-six engine with model-specific turbochargers which produce 283kW and 440Nm of torque between 1,950 and 5,000 rpm. The engine works alongside an 8-speed PDK transmission and pushes off the 911 Carrera 4 from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.2 seconds. With the optional Sport Chrono Package this drops to just 4.0 seconds. The other new model, the 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet sees 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds after taking off. The Sport Chrono Package shaves this time down to 4.2 seconds. 

The front axle drive on the new models also received performance improving upgrades. Water cooling and reinforced clutches improve durability and load capacity of the clutch and differential unit. Seamlessly working with the Porsche Traction Management, the 911 Carreras handle better than ever in wet or dry conditions — even in snow. 

Equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), the 911 Carreras come standard with “Normal” and “Sport” modes, each mode offering a unique configuration of settings for optimal driving. The standard wheel configuration is 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels. Wet mode is standard on the new models and automatically detects wet conditions. Along with a warning to the driver, Wet Mode also prepares the stability control and anti-lock brake systems or minimal reaction times if they are needed. 

The 911 Carrera 4 models share the same stunning design as the rest of the models. The classically recessed front luggage compartment lid, the full-width LED rear light strip, and the bold fender arches are just a few of its design features. The 911 Carrera 4 has a distinct presence. Starting with its exhaust openings in the rear fascia. These models have one rectangular, single-tube tailpipe on each side. An optional Sport Exhaust system can be ordered and features two oval tailpipes.
