The new Porsche Panamera now combines the comfort of an exclusive saloon with the high performance of a sports car, covering an even wider spectrum of innovation.
Supporting its claim to best-in-class performance, the sports car now includes 463 kW. There is a large margin between the performance figures of this Panamera Turbo S and the performance figures of its predecessor Panamera Turbo. One of the several new additions to the range of plug-in hybrids is the new Panamera 4S E-Hybrid. This offers an entirely new drive system with a 412 kW system output. When comparing with the previous hybrid models, the all-electric range has been increased by an impressive 30%. This allows the driver to benefit from both comfort and sportiness thanks to the combination of new-generation steering control and tires, along with enhanced chassis components and control systems.
Test driver Lars Kern completed a 20.832 kilometer-long lap in exactly 7:29:81 minutes, creating the official new record in the “executive cars” class. In addition to proving its uncompromising performance capabilities, the Panamera Turbo S also maximizes cornering performance and effortlessly transfers the enormous power to the road in a highly controlled manner. By leveraging the three-chamber air suspension, the Porche Active Suspension Management (PASM) and the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC Sport), including the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), all have been carefully customized to each specific model, and therefore optimized accordingly.
The vehicle’s 4S E-Hybrid with 17.9 kWh battery and an electric range of up to 54 km shows off a further performance-oriented plug-in hybrid model. With the combination of the 2.9-liter V6 Biturbo engine with 324 kW along with the 100 kW electric motor carefully integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch PDK transmissions, an impressive system output of 412 kW and a maximum system torque of 750 Nm is generated.
While bragging maximum comfort with high performance, the new Panamera Turbo S also includes an improved interior that offers an extensive range of innovative light and assistance systems, including the Porsche InnoDrive, Night Vision Assist, Lane Change Assist, Park Assist, and Lane Keeping Assist.
