Setting new benchmarks in acceleration times and charging speeds, the all-new 2021 Taycan certainly showcases the high-performance potential of Porsche’s first all-electric sports saloon — the Taycan model range. The 2021 Taycan is the fourth variant of the model family and it will definitely steal your attention as it amplifies everything good about electric performance.
Essential Exterior
The 2021 Taycan presents low and wide with highly contoured wings from the front. Its sporty roofline shapes its silhouette and innovative features like the glass-lettering for the Porsche logo in the rear light bar give it even more character. Elements that ensure the all-new Taycan arrives in style anywhere it goes include black anodized brake calipers, and aerodynamically optimized 19-inch Taycan Aero wheels.
Electric Motor & Performance
Built for speed and performance, the all-new Taycan features rear-wheel drive. It offers approximately 431 kilometers of driving range and can produce up to 402 horsepower with its new base model which comes equipped with a 79.2-kWh battery. Up the gross capacity to 93.4 kWh when you choose the two-deck Performance Battery Plus and earn a battery range of 484 kilometers.
Speed & Stamina
A serious competitor, the 2021 Porsche Taycan is among the quickest cars — even tying hypercars such as the $1.7 million 2008 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 as reported by Car and Driver. The Taycan can accelerate from a standing start to 100km/h in a matter of only 5.4 seconds. It also boasts a top speed record of 230 km/h. This power car also displays stamina with its ability to make multiple high-speed runs without a significant performance loss.
Battery Options & Charging Capacity
Two sizes of battery are available with the all-new Taycan. The standard Performance Battery delivers up to 300 kW with zero-g/km CO2 emissions. When paired with the optional Performance Battery Plus, the output increases up to 350 kW with zero-g/km CO2 emissions.
It also features a Plug & Charge function which identifies the connected vehicle and processes payments automatically and securely by establishing encrypted communication with the Plug & Charge-compatible charging station.
Unique Interior
An all new, aesthetically pleasing architecture can be found in the 2021 Taycan’s interior. It comes with partial leather interior, and comfort seats with eight-way electrical adjustment.
You can choose from a range of rich materials and color scheme choices of Black/Limestone Beige standard interior, Blackberry and Blackberry/Slate Grey leather interior, Graphite Blue/Slate Grey Race-Tex interior, or a Basalt Black/ Meranti Brown OLEA Club Leather for the interior.
Another noteworthy feature is the usage of innovative recycled materials which highlight the electric sports car’s sustainable concept.
Also among the list of luxury options include four-zone climate control, heated stirring wheel, and massaging front seats.
Cargo
This spectacular electric sports vehicle also offers not one, but two luggage compartments — 84 liters at the front, and 407 liters at the rear.
Infotainment & Safety Features
Stay up to date and in the know with Taycan's central 10.9-inch infotainment display. There’s also an 8.4-inch touchscreen below it which provides options for adjusting climate settings, battery status check, input navigation details, interaction with Apple CarPlay features, and opening and closing charge ports and the trunks.
Driver-assistance technology that includes automated emergency braking, forward-collision warning, lane-keeping assist and lane-departure warning also comes standard in every Taycan.
Around 50 international awards have been bestowed on this premier electric sports car. The all-new rear-wheel drive Taycan also earned a Guinness World Record for the longest drift with an electric car.
