There’s no stopping Porsche's commitment to continuous driving innovation.

During recent months, sales of the latest Taycan model range have been showing an impressive trend, and are on par with the sports car icon 911. Now, the great is about to be greater. Brace yourself for extensive changes to the Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo for the new model year starting in September.

These electric sports cars will be showcasing improved day-to-day range, more connectivity features, and realization of rare and personal color options. Ready to elevate your everyday drive?

Improved Range & Charging

Extensive technological breakthroughs made the real-world range of the newest versions greater in day-to-day use. Although, there will be no new WLTP range values since the new Taycan will not be homologated separately.

You can also expect improvements on the charging functions and thermal management. Fast charging is now possible earlier and at a higher charge level with the Turbo Charging Planner. Not to mention, the waste heat coming from electrical components can be utilized to an even greater extent intended for battery temperature regulation.

A further highlight is an exclusive service called the Porsche Destination Charging. With this, customers can charge their plug-in hybrid or electric Porsche models for free at particular destinations. There are already more than 2,000 AC charging points at selected restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, airports, sports clubs and marinas in 50 countries—and this network is being expanded in full swing. You can be assured that all charging operations are carbon-neutral.

New Tech & Connectivity Features

Certainly, new seamless smartphone connectivity will impress car enthusiasts. One of the latest features to look forward to is the Remote Park Assist option that allows remote control parking into and out of parking spaces through a smartphone—without the necessitating the driver to be behind the wheels. This is possible for both perpendicular and parallel garages and parking spaces. Using the vehicle’s camera systems and ultrasonic sensors, the Remote Park Assist system automatically detects parking spaces and measures them.

If the space is sufficient, the parking process can be started by the driver via the Porsche Connect app, who can then get out of the car. Monitoring can be done by pressing and holding a button on the app’s interface. Steering and control of the forward and reverse movements are then taken over by the system, and once the button is released, the parking maneuver immediately stops.

Great news for Android users—Android Auto is now integrated in the Porsche Communication Management (PCM). With this incorporation, selected smartphone apps and phone functions that do not impair driving safety can be operated via the Google Assistant voice commands or PCM 6.0.

Instructions in everyday language are also understood better by the Voice Pilot voice assistant.

Colorful Paint Finishes

Porsche introduced highly colorful paint finishes to its range in the ‘90s—now, these eye-catching cult colors are making a comeback.

In addition to 17 standard paint colors, the latest generation Taycan is available with Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus. The first option allows painting with 65 additional colors including Rubystar Red, Acid Green, Moonlight Blue Metallic, Viola Metallic, and Riviera Blue. Meanwhile, Paint to Sample Plus provides customers almost total freedom in selecting a color.

Don’t miss out on these impressive new features. Stand out with the new Taycan.
