Since the Porsche Cayenne made its debut in 2002, it has been an icon in redefining the standard for driving dynamics in the SUV segment.
In the model line’s initial years, the first Cayenne Turbo S displayed an outstanding power output of 383 kW in 2006, while the GT models that were launched in 2007 boasted sporty on-road performance. With a high degree of everyday usability and variability, the Cayenne vehicle line made a mark of unquestionable excellence.
Behold: The New Exceptional Cayenne
Today, Porsche aims to highlight its claim to best-in-class performance once again, without neglecting everyday usability and driving comfort. Watch out for the latest high-performance Cayenne model being developed that will definitely blow minds anew.
The upcoming Cayenne bears benchmark qualities from the current Cayenne Turbo Coupe, but the design has been further elevated to provide the ultimate longitudinal and lateral dynamics.
Handling has been improved by the comprehensively revamped front axle. Porsche test driver Lars Kern elaborated that compared with the Cayenne Turbo Coupe, the front rims of the new model are wider by half an inch, and the negative camber has increased by 0.45 degrees in order to give a larger contact area for the vehicle’s 22-inch sports tyres. A host of other exciting enhancements for all chassis and control systems, and an innovative performance-oriented set-up will give you the most exhilarating rides yet.
As part of the development to series production stage, this high-performance model is undergoing final testing and optimization.
Two-Time World Rally Champ Tests New Model
Two-time World Rally Champion, and Porsche Brand Ambassador Walter Röhrl has put the powerful new Cayenne’s lightly camouflaged prototype in a tough test of capabilities on the Grand Prix circuit in Hockenheimring.
Those who loved previous models can expect incomparable and top-notch qualities. Don’t just take our word for it. Röhrl himself described the high-performance SUV as a great leap forward compared to everything that has gone before. Accompanied by the emotive sound of a titanium exhaust system that is equipped with centrally positioned tailpipes, the World Rally champ was very impressed after driving lap after lap.
“The car remains incredibly stable even in fast corners, and its turn-in behavior is extremely precise. More than ever, you have the feeling that you are sitting in a compact sports car rather than in a large SUV,” Röhrl shared.
Brace yourself for the upcoming brand-new Cayenne. Get ready to experience its redefinition of the term SUV.
