Traditionally, within the Porsche lineup, the T trim denotes a Touring model, or one that is maximized for driving pleasure. In the case of the Macan, it is the first time that this trim has found its way to an SUV; it was previously reserved for the 911 and 718 models. The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system has been specially adapted to the Macan T’s body, and designed with a rear wheel drive bias. The added adaptive air suspension with PASM and further lowering is also an option for the newer four-cylinder Macans.
Evidently, Porsche has put a lot of effort and thought into building a performance-forward Macan designed for sports car connoisseurs. The brand offers many trims, some barebones, and some luxurious, but for buyers who care about pure driving pleasure, the Macan T is the right option.
