Recently, the Hockenheimring celebrated its 90th anniversary. The Hockenheim, Germany circuit was inaugurated in 1932 and since then has been home to the Formula 1 German Grand Prix. In celebration of the track, Porsche, which is located nearby in Stuttgart, released the exclusive Porsche Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition. The new edition of the all electric Taycan boasts several new exterior details that distinguish it from the base model. This includes a new Stone Grey paint color and bronzite accents.
This same color palette is used by the rest of the car and is also on display in the all new 21-inch Mission E Design wheel. The wheel center is painted in Bronzite, while the surrounding rim edge is finished in the exterior color, Stone Grey. In keeping with the wheel center, the hub cap is painted in bronzite (satin finish) and features a colored Porsche crest. The brake calipers are painted black, creating a sharp contrast with the rest of the wheel.
The interior also distinguishes itself. Black leather is highlighted by eye-catching Island Green stitching, giving the cabin an eye-catching, original look.
The car's track pedigree is also on display through the Porsche Track Precision app for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This app allows drivers to integrate video from their phone with data from internal sensors onboard the car when driving to produce data that is fully synchronized with the phone's video. Overall, the Porsche Taycan GTS Hockenheimring Edition is an homage from Porsche to the track they love, and it perfectly captures the manufacturer's racing history.
