Since its world debut in 2019, the Porsche Taycan model range has been a raging success. To keep the momentum, the renowned automaker is introducing a stunning variant that showcases driver-focused handling and phenomenal power—the 2022 Taycan GTS.
In its premiere at the recent LA Auto Show, the legendary GTS was esteemed to neatly slot into a performance and price gap in the Taycan model range. This newcomer electric sports car clearly made an exceptional impression.
Get to Know the Taycan GTS
Even at a standstill, the GTS makes a grand impact as it looks more menacing and purposeful compared to its siblings. Black and dark details create strong, sophisticated accents such as the front apron, side window trims, and the bases of the exterior mirrors.
An elegant and dynamic ambience will greet you in the car’s interior with Black Race-Tex, Porsche’s faux-suede material dominating the space. A standard brushed aluminum interior package is also available with Black anodized finish.
Proving itself as a sporty all-rounder, the GTS showcases a remarkable overboost power of up to 440 kW when the Launch Control is used, a top speed of 250 km/h, and an acceleration time of 3.7 seconds from zero to 100 km/h. For the GTS, long distances can be covered effortlessly. With a WLTP range of up to 504 km, the need to stop and charge is reduced. This range record caused the GTS to become the first Taycan to break the 500-km mark.
Not to mention, an adaptive air suspension, including the Porsche Active Suspension Management is precisely adapted to the GTS, benefitting the lateral dynamics. You can also expect a sportier set-up of the optional rear-axle steering, and a richer sound pattern that defines the character of the new GTS model.
Get to Know the Taycan Sport Turismo
Those who love the everyday practicality offered by the Taycan Cross Turismo, but are longing to have the on-road performance of the Taycan sports saloon will find the best of both worlds in the Taycan Sport Turismo.
Embodying the same sporty silhouette, timeless design, and rearward-sloping roofline of the Cross Turismo, you can count on the Sport Turismo to support your lifestyle. You won’t have to worry about your baggage for everyday errands or a much-awaited adventure. The load capacity under the tailgate exceeds 1,200 liters.
Comfort for rear passengers is also ensured with a greater headroom compared to the Taycan sports saloon.
A World First Optional Extra
Bringing in excellence one step further, a panoramic roof with sunshine control is also available for the Taycan GTS as a new optional extra. Using a touchscreen interface, the roof can change from clear to matt through an electrically switchable liquid crystal film. Without darkening the interior, the occupants can be protected from glare. The coolest part? The roof has nine segments that can be switched individually—a world first feature in the automotive sector.
Taycan models have always been impressive but the GTS takes the electric driving experience to another level. Plus, it has three body variants, and up to five engine options to choose from.
Delivery is expected to commence in early 2022.
