Elegant and luxurious—the new one-of-a-kind Porsche is a highly individualized 356 B from 1960 delivering a striking statement that will surely turn heads.
This extraordinary vehicle is a triumphant result of Porsche and New York fashion label Aimé Leon Dore's (ALD) creative alliance is an iconic sports car representing the third collaborative automotive endeavor by the two.
Exquisitely cloaked in the captivating hue of Midnight Blue, the 356 ALD seamlessly merges the timeless allure of a purist sports car with opulent detailing, forging an unparalleled aesthetic.
To achieve an enchantingly classic body profile, the designers eliminated the front and rear bumpers, and accentuated the car's inherent sleekness. It is also imbued with modern enhancements such as retrofitted disc brakes, adorned with brushed aluminum alloy wheels that gracefully embrace white wall tires.
The interior design centers on harmonizing style and comfort. Drawing inspiration from the pinnacle of its time, the 356 Carrera 2, the model incorporates a similar steering wheel that exudes both elegance and functionality.
Refined craftsmanship is also evident in the interior’s Midnight Blue leather seats adorned with meticulous tone-on-tone stitching and a tartan pattern adorning the center sections. Supple alpaca leather upholsters the seat backrests and floor mats.
Marking a momentous occasion, the highly anticipated premiere of this remarkable Porsche 356 B transpired during the re-opening of the ALD flagship store in New York City on May 5th. As a testament to their enduring collaboration, Aimé Leon Dore has also curated a capsule collection to commemorate this latest milestone, further celebrating the union of automotive artistry and fashion excellence.
Previous collaborations between Porsche and ALD goes way back in 2020 when they worked on a restored 911 Carrera 4 (Type 964) which was unveiled at the prestigious Jeffery Deitch Gallery during New York Fashion Week. Continuing the journey in 2021, Aimé Leon Dore's visionary founder and creative director, Teddy Santis, turned his personal dream into reality with the Olive-colored 911 SC. Inspired by the rich history and heritage of his Greek family, this bespoke 911 reflected his profound connection to his roots.
With each collaborative endeavor, Aimé Leon Dore and Porsche continue to transcend boundaries, seamlessly blending automotive excellence with the realm of fashion, creating truly remarkable vehicles that celebrate heritage, craftsmanship, and individual expression.
