NFT enthusiasts, here’s something exciting for you.

Porsche has positioned a virtual brand presence with the launch of its first collection of non-fungible tokens (NFT) during the Art Basel in Miami.

Starting January 2023, 7,500 unique digital collector’s items can be accessed by prospective buyers. Each design embodies the rare, iconic, timeless quality of the brand.

Porches’ Digital Works of Art

The collection is based on the classic white Porsche 911. Hamburg-based designer and 3D artist, Patrick Vogel, created an exceptional visual language to execute the designs. It does not simply replicate the design, but brings a whole new experience for the drivers.

Buyers can take part in designing their individual NFTs. They can choose from three core themes – Performance, Heritage, and Lifestyle routes. Each route has a specific Porsche brand identity which is reflected in the character and design. In the following months, each designed NFT will be prepared by Vogel as a special 3D asset in Unreal Engine 5.

Then, the pioneering owners of the NFTs are given exclusive access to experiences in the virtual and real world.

Integrating Blockchain Technology

Porsche’s Web3 strategy has different components. Aside from digital art, the team plans to venture into the integration of blockchain technology into their processes.

Vice president and member of Porsche’s finance management Lutz Meschke sees this as an extraordinary step into the future, and an element of the company’s digitization strategy. The potential in the purchasing experience, supply chain, and metaverse are also considered.

A Surreal Physical Art Experience

A series of real-life art installations called “The Art of Dreams” by Porsche around major cities take enthusiasts to another incomparable level of experience to appreciate the Porsche NFT collection. The highlight of the exhibit is Chris Labrooy’s larger-than-life figure entitled, “Dream Big” on the beach of the Pérez Art Museum Miami. It pays homage to childhood dreams and allows the beholder to ponder where their dream will take them next.

The installation puts a white Porsche 911 in the spotlight, serving as a connecting element between the digital collectibles and the real world.
