From its bold entry into the SUV world in 2002, the Porsche Cayenne made an undeniable mark as a sporting all-rounder. Now, the next era of Cayenne has begun. Meet the all-electric Cayenne, a powerhouse boasting cutting-edge technology and everyday usability—all while keeping a distinctive Porsche character.

Make no mistake—it wasn’t simply electrified; it has been developed as the most powerful Porsche production model yet. Setting new standards in the SUV segment, the fully electric Cayenne is an important milestone in Porsche’s history.

Supercar Performance, SUV Versatility

The all-electric Cayenne family launches with two models: the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Turbo Electric. Both come standard with all-wheel drive and Porsche’s electronic Traction Management system (ePTM).

The headline numbers are staggering.

With Launch Control activated, the Cayenne Turbo Electric delivers up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and as much as 1,500 Nm of torque. The result? An astonishing 0–100 km/h sprint in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 260 km/h — performance that belongs in the world of super sports cars. In normal driving, the Turbo still produces up to 630 kW (857 PS), with an additional boost available via a Push-to-Pass function.

The standard Cayenne Electric is no slouch either. It offers 300 kW (408 PS) in regular driving, up to 325 kW (442 PS) with Launch Control, and accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

Yet performance is only part of the story. Porsche engineered this SUV to excel everywhere: on-road, off-road, and even on long journeys.

Efficient Power and Formula E-Level Recuperation

Underneath the Cayenne Electric sits a new 113 kWh high-voltage battery with double-sided cooling for optimal thermal management. Its range figures will definitely impress you—with up to 623 km for the Turbo, and up to 642 km (WLTP) for the Cayenne Electric.

Not to mention, energy recovery is another standout. The system can achieve a recuperative power of up to 600 kW — levels comparable to Formula E race technology — meaning that roughly 97% of everyday braking can be handled by the electric motors alone.

Charging has been engineered for speed and reliability. Thanks to its 800-volt architecture, the Cayenne can charge at DC stations at up to 390 kW — and, under specific conditions, up to 400 kW. A 10–80% charge takes less than 16 minutes, while just 10 minutes can add up to 325 km of range (315 km in the Turbo). Porsche also introduces optional inductive wireless charging at up to 11 kW: park over a floor plate, and charging begins automatically.

Designed for the Future While Keeping an Unmistakable Porsche Identity

With an unmistakable Porsche identity, the Cayenne Electric shows off a low bonnet, slim Matrix LED headlights, sculpted wings, and a flowing roofline create a modern yet familiar silhouette. Frameless doors, distinctive side skirts, and a sleek rear light strip complete the look, while the Turbo model adds exclusive Turbonite accents.

Aerodynamics also plays a significant role. With a drag coefficient of just 0.25, the Cayenne Electric ranks among the most aerodynamic SUVs in its class. Active elements — including movable cooling flaps, an adaptive roof spoiler, and innovative rear aeroblades — intelligently balance range, stability, and downforce.

Space, Comfort, and Digital Intelligence

The Cayenne Electric features a longer wheelbase, delivering greater rear legroom, while luggage capacity ranges from 781 to 1,588 liters — plus an additional 90-litre front trunk. Depending on the configuration, towing capacity can reach up to 3.5 tons.

Technology also takes center stage. The new Porsche Driver Experience features a curved OLED Flow Display in the center, paired with a digital instrument cluster and optional passenger screen — the largest display area ever offered in a Porsche. A head-up display with augmented-reality projection further enhances the driving experience.

Other comfort innovations include variable ambient lighting, panel heating, configurable “Mood Modes,” and an airy Panoramic Roof with variable light control.

The all-electric Cayenne is more than a technological upgrade. It’s a bold statement about where performance, innovation, and practicality can meet — and how Porsche plans to carry its legacy forward.

With around 36% of its global sports cars already electrified, Porsche is one of the fastest-transforming manufacturers in 2025. Nonetheless, the Cayenne Electric doesn’t replace traditional power — it joins it. Porsche will continue to develop combustion-engines and plug-in hybrid versions alongside the electric model, giving customers the freedom to choose how they want to drive.
